Purple Martin Solid Cedar Handmade Birdhouse-Cherrywood in Douglas County, Colorado

This oversized condo for birds and is commonly known as a Martin Box. It's made of 100% unfinished cedar and the whole exterior is hand-coated with wood varnish along with an additional non-toxic water-based polyurethane to weatherproof it. It is held together by stainless steel nails and includes a layer of roofing underlayment felt below the shingles to prevent water from entering. The box comes with 4 separate rooms, a front porch, drainage holes, and has a detachable back wall for easy spring cleaning.
The condo is built on a stable base that can be mounted just about anywhere-most commonly the end of a tall 4x4 post (not included) set into the ground in an open area.
It is an excellent addition to an outdoor living space for those who appreciate nature. Not only do they add music to the airwaves, they help to control mosquitoes, flies and other pests!
